IMPACTA LAW held
European Investment Day for Ukrainian businesses on regulatory rules for entering EU markets

MAY 2026

KYIV, UKRAINE

On May 12, IMPACTA LAW held European Investment Day – a strategic workshop on competition regulation for Ukrainian companies planning market entry, scaling, or investment activities in the European Union.

Workshop participants had the opportunity to explore the practical aspects of merger control, FDI screening and FSR review in a short space of time, under the guidance of experienced lawyers from leading European law firms –

Elizabeth Gautier and Pierre-Antoine Degrolard, Gide Loyrette Nouel (France), Sabrina Aurnhammer and Dr. Severin Uhsler, Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH (Germany), Francesco Maria Salerno, Gianni & Origoni (Italy) and Irene Moreno-Tapia Rivas, Cuatrecasas (Spain).

For Ukrainian companies, integration into European markets means not only new opportunities, but also the need to operate in an environment of high regulatory standards. Fair competition rules, merger control, foreign investment screening, and the assessment of state support are becoming part of the business logic that should be taken into account before negotiations begin or a transaction is structured. This is particularly relevant in the context of Ukraine’s gradual approximation of its legislation to EU law, as European approaches will increasingly shape the rules of the game within Ukraine as well.

IMPACTA LAW develops legal strategies for Ukrainian exporters and investors in the EU, ensuring that Ukraine makes a tangible impact within the European business community.

We thank everyone who joined the discussion, as well as our European partners, for their expertise and practical perspective on EU regulatory requirements.
