Ukrainian antitrust authority reports surge in enforcement activity in 2025

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) reported a significant increase in enforcement activity in 2025, alongside an expanded advocacy agenda.

A notable decision concerned the pharmaceutical sector, where the AMCU imposed ₴ 4.8 billion (€ 101 million) in fines on two major pharmaceutical distributors and opened a cartel investigation involving the largest pharmacy chains, signalling heightened scrutiny of the medicines supply chain.
